THE AUTHOR

As a teacher of research and writing and a published writer, Vicki Hester began researching various biblical interpretations that separate believers and cause some people to question the existence of God. Her research asks several questions: What beliefs are central to Christianity? How do we love an omniscient, omnipotent, all-loving God with our finite hearts, souls, and minds? What does Jesus mean by “neighbor” when he tells us to love our neighbors as ourselves? And how do we love those who do not want our love? This study also explores competing beliefs, not to argue but to encourage believers to seek answers through reading the Bible, listening to the Holy Spirit, and through sermons, books, and Bible studies.
We should remember that Jesus, Paul, and other writers of the Bible encourage unity among believers. We should focus first on growing together in Christ as we learn who he is and what he means when he calls us to follow him.
